The Affogato does not require much preparation time.
First prepare the espresso.
Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a small cup.
Pour the hot espresso over it.
The light Italian dessert for hot or cooler days is ready.

Notes
Affogato is eaten with a small spoon. Some restaurants also serve variants with hazelnut ice cream, cocoa powder, cream or even liquid chocolate. The original recipe, however, consists only of vanilla ice cream and fresh espresso.
